Here's another picture of a VERY happy and flyin' Christina:)
The thing I am holding on to is our experiment where we were testing seed fixation in a 0g environment. For those who do not know: the parabolic flight campaign is arranged by the European Space Agency and gives students all across Europe the chance to experience zero gravity while performing scientific experiments. It is the coolest experience EVER!!! You get to fly around for 20 seconds, 30 times after each other. Well, my group only got 16 such parabolas, because of first turbulence, then electrical problems, then an explosion on the ground. The experiment, which belonged to a french team who were testing how a flame behaves in 0g, got way way too highly pressurised and the glass chamber exploded into a girls face. The girl was brought to the hospital with cuts all over her face, and blood in her lungs - it was very bad... So we also got to experience the first accident in such a campaign:( It's a dangerous business I am entering!
